Westway Renfrew Paint Jam 2023 hosted by Mortar Projects

What do Mortar Projects do?

Our projects will aim to create fully immersive works of art for community spaces, our main focus is for the wellbeing of communities and the individuals within these communities to have safe inclusive spaces that are curious and playful; with this we aim to explore alternative methods to tackle climate change to help achieve net zero. This will be done by producing in house projects and events along with collaboration with other groups who share the same values. Overall our mission is to be creatively active within the Renfrewshire communities exploring the possibilities available. by creating more fluid inviting environments we aim to produce spaces for positive wellbeing with a sense of belonging that many communities may lack.

Our home is Renfrewshire and our first first focus is to serve our local community. However, we have an ambition to work with artists Scotland wide and in the future we will be looking for opportunities to widen our learning and development at an international level.
