The “Impastoish” Collection:

This is my latest collection I have been working on during 2021 when I have had spare time.

So, my subject is surprisingly animals, my favourite to paint. However, I have changed up my colourful background design and gone for a new style I am calling impastoish!

Stemming from a happy accident the technique ‘impasto’ is a term that refers to applying thick paint or texture, in a painting. I tried this technique however, I would spread the paint thin across the canvas with a palette knife - creating Impasto…….ish.

I have a new collection here to share from woodland animals to African, to southwest Asia to the ocean with more in the making.
