“Love and Rescue” Dog Murals

Attention Artists who want to make a difference and love dogs!

“Love & Rescue Murals” seeking volunteer artists to create public murals inspired by real rescue dogs from The Underheugh Ark Rescue. The project aims to raise awareness of long-term and large-breed dogs in kennels, by sharing their personalities through art, helping them be seen, loved, and rehomed.

Artists of all styles are welcome, & murals must be created on legal, permitted walls & reflect positively on the dogs. Artists with access to visible legal walls are especially encouraged to get involved.

I am currently working to secure legal walls from local businesses, Alternatively, we can recommend the following locations:

  • River Clyde (Clydeside, Glasgow)

  • Erskine Arts Graffiti Wall, Erskine

  • Cowcaddens Underpass, Glasgow

  • Seedhill Legal Graffiti Wall, Paisley

  • Westway, Renfrew (permission available via Mortar Projects)

  • Lochwinnoch Area (See Cheryl for more details)

The first 5 individual artists to complete a mural will be sent a £15.00 Graff-City Gift Card as a contribution towards art supplies. Please note this project is not funded, and the aim is to raise awareness and promote donations on the way.

Don’t do murals but want to donate a painting instead, also welcome.

Your creativity could genuinely change lives

Our goals are to:

  • Raise visibility for these long-term rescue dogs, who eagerly await their loving homes.

  • Educate the public about the importance of adopting, not shopping, for pets.

  • Inspire stronger community support for local animal rescues.

We believe art has the power to make people stop, look and feel. With your help, we can turn blank walls into beacons of hope.

Contact me and I will share a link with additional dog references images and more information:

Nostalgic Showreel - ‘Playing with Art’

2026 update….

Due to my event freelancing work, I am not as flexible as I would wish. however, I am still here, painting when I get the chance, so do get in touch for collaborations or expression of interest in my work and we can see if we can make it work. Much Appreciated!

Please have a wonder around my website and to my art store and feel free to check out my ‘Pay What You Wish’ model which is directed to those who love art, with the view of customers to pay how much they feel my particular artwork is of value and can afford. So I am always open to hear offers for commissions, community projects and anything that can benefit animals.
